Mill-Turn streamlines the programming process with intelligent job

intelligent work plane selection, it's as easy as selecting the spindle
and turret you wish to utilize, and creating your toolpaths using
Mastercam's proven milling and lathe toolpaths.
Improved Backplot and Verify Utilities
Knowing your results before committing tool to material is
crucial. Mastercam gives you several ways to ensure your part will come
off the machine exactly as you want it. The Mastercam Simulator offers a
single streamlined interface for solid-model verification and toolpath
backplotting with a powerful set of analysis tools and information.
Mastercam Simulator opens in its own window, letting you work and adjust
your project as the tool motion display continues.
New Tool Manager
Mastercam's new Tool Manager provides a whole new way to organize
and create your mill and router tooling. It has been built from the
ground up as a flexible and efficient way to manage tools and tool
holding components and to create tool assemblies that can be used in
Mastercam. It also integrates work material and cut parameter data so
you can take advantage of a manufacturer's cutting recommendations.
New Lathe Dynamic Rough Toolpath
The Lathe Dynamic Rough toolpath is designed for hard materials
cut with button inserts. The dynamic motion allows the toolpath to cut
gradually, remain engaged in the material more effectively, and use more
of the surface on your insert, extending tool life and increasing the
3D HST Hybrid
The 3D HST Hybrid toolpath now includes a new Optimize cut order
check box. This option defines the cut order Mastercam applies to
different cutting passes in the toolpath. When selected, Mastercam works
in tiers, ordering the toolpath's cutting passes based on proximity and
Mastercam X7 integrates Renishaw's Productivity+ for in-process
gauging. This is the ability to use a measuring probe on a machine tool
to determine fixture offsets, orientation, and critical dimensions.
Probing eliminates the need for tool presetters, expensive fixtures, and
manual setting with dial indicators. It allows for machine offsets to
be automatically adjusted, even during the machining process, to further
enhance the manufacturing process.
Multiaxis Machining Improvements
Oscillating tool motion improves your tool life by not always
machining with the same area of the tool. This is especially useful for
trimming work. The Curve 5-axis and Swarf 5-axis toolpaths now include
an Oscillate option, where you can select either linear or high speed
motion as your tool moves through the toolpath. The new Trim to Stock
function for Classic multiaxis toolpaths automatically modifies your
multiaxis toolpath to reduce air cutting. And, you now have the ability
to define individual Safety Zones inside the Classic multiaxis toolpaths
so that the tool can safely and efficiently link rapid motions inside
